Romantic Gifts For Men

Before we go any further, let me say that it is important to get to know your man. Choosing the perfect romantic gift for guys can be fun. It is easy for us to think of romance in terms that WE know and appreciate, but we need to get inside the man’s head… just a little. Generally I would say it is best to keep it simple with the guys but it depends. I mean, if your man is a college professor, the ideal romantic gift for him may be a little different than say the auto mechanic. That said, when it comes to certain things, that may not matter at all. What does he really like to eat? Does he enjoy intellectually stimulating reading or thought provoking games or does he prefer some beers and the game on TV? Just stop for a moment and think about who HE is.

One way to look at gift giving is to appeal to his mind. You can start by appealing to the man’s primal nature. Nope, not talking about sex, yet, but the EGO. Yes, stroke that ego and hear him purr. Make him feel like the King; if just for an evening then so be it. There are many ways to do this, you can just offer to get him a drink, maybe his favorite snack, rub his back… You get the idea. If this is not your usual routine, it can produce shocking results.

While you are stroking that ego, it wouldn’t hurt to appeal to his sexual side. We will devote at least a whole post to sex but for now, just remember it is part of the equation. A part of being King is to have the Queen at his side.

Back to getting to know your man. When it comes to traditional gift giving, you must know his likes and dislikes, turn ons and turn offs, and hobbies. Would you make him happy by putting him in that new shirt that you would like to see him in, possibly, or would he really like a personalized golf club, or beer mug? (stroke that ego). Do you know him well enough to really know his sexual desires and fantasies, because if you think he does not have any, you don’t know him all that well.

I know, we are supposed to be talking about romantic gift ideas. Well, you can go strictly romance, or you may consider, based on knowing your man, a more practical gift that he will really enjoy. Personally, I like both. I mean, get him something practical, that is just for him, and spice up an evening, day, or weekend for the two of you! I believe that to keep it really romantic, the key is to enjoy some time together!
